Hello, my name is Brandon Young, a fellow filmmaker. I found your page due to a freind who talked to a Gypsy Films member on the phone a few days ago. They gave my friend the website and he later gave it too me.

Things look good with your productions. I like what I've seen thus far.

Like I was saying, I am a filmmaker, working for Solar Shock Pictures. Our website is http://www.solarshockpictures.com, or you can visit our message boards at solarshock.proboards46.com where we talk about the numerous projects we have going on at the moment.
First of all, as far as films are concerned, we have done a few short films, with several more development. We also produce a series of podcasts that are becoming more and more popular everyday. Some of them I would recommend to film fans and filmmakers.

Our website is under going some changes at the moment where a list of our films will be posted soon. The Solar Shock crew has been involved with producing a Batman fanfilm, 'Dark Knight Beginning' (which kinda sucked), a short film horror / thriller entitled 'The Letter', directed by me.
And a dark romantic dramedy short called 'Juxtaposition' directed by M.R. Ellis.
In production, we are in post on 4 projects; 'Damaged', a full length feature by M.R. Ellis. 'Guardian', another dark thriller from me, and my other project we just finished shooting called 'Self Isolation'.
And 'Here and Now', directed by Gregory Andersen, which is a psycological thriller.
Although we like to outsource a lot with other filmmakers, Solar Shock consists of 4 main people; M.R. Ellis who is our Technical Director and Visual Effects Specialist, Gregory Andersen is our Music Score Composer, Justin Beecher is our Actor, and of course, myself, the Director / Cinematographer.
A lot of us direct, but we all edit our own projects.

Many films are in Pre Production.

We currently produce 7 podcasts.
1. 'At the Movies with Spot and Greg'
This is our first podcast, which originally stated out as a TV show for a local Public Access TV station near where we live. The podcast is going through a massive change at the moment, but the focus of the show is Movie Reviews, DVD Reviews, and Sketch Comedy thrown in between. The sketch comedy bit is being worked out right now.

2. 'B!tch Sl@p'
Our second podcast, which is audio only, where hosts Matt and TJ go off on rants. They talk about a lot of controversial topics, and this is Explicit, so listen at your own Risk!!!

3. 'The Screening Room'
Our second Video Podcast but 3rd overall is my Baby. I Executive Produce this one where host Spot introduces a film done by an indie styled filmmaker. We show the film, and then depending on circumstances we will have a sit down discussion panel after the show giving the director of the film a chance to talk about inspirations and things he's proud of. We are accepting any and all submissions. We currently pull in about 200-300 downloads in a 30 day period. We're also highly recommended on several sites. At IdiotVox.com we are ranked #8 Best Video Podcast out of 350+, and ranked #11 in Overall Podcasts out of 500+. I am quite proud of it. If you want to submit anything, just let me know.

4. 'Project: GameTime'
Our next Video Podcast, which started out as a part of 'At the Movies', it has spun off into it's own show. And this is our most popular podcast we produce. This is nothing but video game reviews. Want to know what we think about current and recently released video games? Check it out. We talk all consoles, PS3. Wii, PS2, and XBox 360, etc.
This podcast is downloaded well over 1000 times in a 15 day period. We usually look at 300 downloads a day.

5. 'AfterShock'
My other baby. This podcast is audio only and started out as general film discussion. We would pick a topic and bring up anything relating to film around that specific topic. Lately we changed the format to DVD Audio Commenataries. Sync up your DVD player with our audio podcast in your iPod and listen to what we have to say about the film. We have done 'Pirates 2', 'Fight Club', 'The Matrix Trilogy', 'Serenity', 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', 'Sleepy Hollow', and upcoming is 'Clerks II', and 'Star Wars: Episode III'.

6. 'Drunken Monkey Tech'
Matt hosts this audio podcast about new technology news, yellow journalists who don't give full truths or accurate truths, and he also tears apart myths regarding something relating to technology, like what people want you to know about HD-DVD but they aren't telling you everything. Although we don't have Sony as a sponsor, it sure seems like we do because we want people to know why BluRay is better and we do so with truth and not by any other agenda.

7. 'Development Hell'
My third baby, who almost seems like a red headed step child. I don't take care of her like I do the others. It is about new Hollywood News, Theatrical Releases, cool new trailers worth checking out, and of course Whats New on DVD, BluRay, and HD-DVD.

All of these podcasts can be found on our website, or in the iTunes store. Just do a search for Solar Shock and all of our podcasting family will appear, including 2 other recently pulled off the market podcasts.

Anyway, that is me and I hope you check us out. I will be here frequently stopping by. Again, things look great here!
